We started a few years ago when my aunt made an adorable Christmas ornament made from an oyster shell and gifted it to my Mom. She loved it so much that she decided to try making some herself and enjoyed the process and end result immensely. She showed them to friends and family who thought they were beautiful and wanted to purchase them. On our next annual trip to Hot Springs, AR we stopped and picked up several grocery bags full of oyster shells at a restaurant that tosses shells out in their parking lot so we could make more little pieces of oyster art.
